About me

My professional career was very varied and versatile – here are a few stops in descending order (i.e. the newest first)

FREELANCE WORK – SINCE 2014

I´m working as a freelance web developer / designer / media designer since June 2014. The customer base is growing steadily and I´m currently working for energy companies, bloggers, musicians, DDesigners, online marketing professionals and shop owners.

From mid-2017 to the end of October 2018, I also worked as a part-time employed (Web, Services and more) web developer on various projects, especially in the e-commerce environment.

FURTHER EDUCATION AND OTHER EXPERIENCES – 2011-2013

After some major changes in my previous company (Axel Springer), in 2011 I decided to redefine my career path and completed an extensive training as a web designer and web developer, providing a well-founded foundation for my new path.

But nothing is better than practical experience – I was able to gather some experience from then on through smaller projects in the circle of friends and acquaintances, but also through my work as a media designer in the media production agency “Allzeit Media Consult GmbH” (2012-2013). There I was able to contribute to various web projects – TYPO3, PHP / MySQL interfaces, JavaScript plugins and other specialties were included, but in the field of print also fine art and image editing.

At the end of 2013 I started working independently and at the same time I began to work part time for Neckermann Strom as a web designer / media designer.

APPRENTICESHIP – 1996-1999

After graduating from high school in 1996, I started an apprenticeship as a “Reprohersteller” (media designer) and for a while actually came into contact with the “classic” reproduction technique – cutting film masks, creating negatives with the repro camera, develop film, copy and so on. This was only a relatively short time part of my education though – the technology was already antiquated at that time – and thus scanners and imagesetters came in quickly. Nevertheless, this trip to the past was very inspiring!

So I enjoyed my apprenticeship and when I finished, my job did not exist anymore in this form – job profiles are changing and today I would be a media designer.

Then I worked for about 11 years (1999-2011, less 11 months civil service) in the pre-press ad department of the “Hamburger Abendblatt”, a local newspaper, which was a lot of fun and brought some work experience.
